It's not just about lending a hand (though we definitely need those!). It's about being part of something bigger than yourself, right here in our tight-knit mountain community.
Whether you're helping set up rainbow flags, greeting folks with a warm smile at our events, or brainstorming creative ways to spread love and acceptance, every volunteer brings their own special magic to the mix. Some of our volunteers have been with us from day one, others jump in for a single event - and honestly? We treasure them all!
Volunteering Prerequisites
First, volunteers should have a genuine commitment to 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy and inclusivity, showing respect for diverse identities and experiences within the community.
Second, reliable availability during key events and activities is important.
Third, volunteers must be willing to participate in basic orientation that cover the organization's mission, anti-discrimination policies, and appropriate ways to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
Volunteering with us is flexible to both yours and out needs!
We would love to have some volunteers who can dedicate time throughout the year to build our outreach efforts.
This commitment includes being responsive to communication, some tasking, and maintaining confidentiality when working with sensitive community matters, always representing our organization's values in all interactions, whether at public events, in digital spaces, or in the community.
